I had at least 3 different instances (2 on Saturday afternoon, and one on
Sunday night), where the stations I worked on 6m, were under 400 miles away
- plenty close to indicate 2m Es was occurring, but no such luck.  I
called, tuned, and listened on 2m, during each occurance, hearing nothing.
I don't know if it was a case of being too close to the Es cloud, or they
typical June Contest 6m syndrome - everybody's on 6 because the band's
happening, and nobody's on 2m and higher.
