These comments make some sense to me.   I've just started to get involved in 
meteor scatter and EME and I was contemplating a portable 432 EME effort during 
the UHF contest at some point.   Being able to run meteor scatter and EME makes 
me much more willing to visit remote grids where there may be little or no 
opportunity for  contacts using other propagation modes (especially if the 
contest takes place earlier in the year when it is harder to access mountain 
tops where I live.)

That being said I'd be curious in hearing the rationale for the new scoring 
system.   It does seem strange to me to exclude certain types of operation to 
increase activity.
