Interesting information. I have a slightly different question.

My buddy bought a used TV ENG truck with a 40' pneumatic mast. $ 2,000 for the working truck.

We are outfitting it to go roving, and I am putting emphasis on 6 meter grid hopping, both with e' skip, and particularly with MSK144. As such, the laptop needs to be time synced. Is there a program that can take a hockey puck GPS appliance that we can have on the roof, and it keeps the laptop on time? Looking more for an appliance operation, not interested in in taking the time for building an interface. (We have too many "gadgets" on board already.)

And yes, it is a geeky fun project with this van.
