*"August 14-24, WWV and WWVH will send a US Department of Defensemessage at
10 minutes past the hour on WWV and 50 past the hour onWWVH. Listeners are
asked to take a survey on it: http://www.dodmars.org/home/wwv-survey
<http://www.dodmars.org/home/wwv-survey>. The survey will be used
bypersonnel to show NIST, National Institute of Standards andTechnology,
part of the US Department of Commerce, how their timingsignals are used
around the world. WD8DBY, head of "U.S. Army MARS"says "every vote counts"
in demonstrating the importance of WWV and**WWVH*."

Maybe if enough of us do their survey, the stations will remain
on the air. Please take the time to help preserve this valuable
asset.

Thanks and 73, Bob W6RGG
