Hello again,

Just a reminder that today is TUESDAY, and you know what that means.  Yes, it is 222 MHz activity Night.  All you have to do is turn on your 222 MHz gear and make some noise looking for other stations. For my part, I will be QRV starting around 7:30 PM local time. ( 23:30 UT)   I ripped apart the keying and sequencing stuff for some modifications, so I better get it all put back together before the fun starts this evening!  I will be using the three antennas and HB kilowatt amp as usual.

My "new"  ham laptop developed a problem and needed repair that required sending it back to Dell. In the interim, I bought a cheapy used laptop that was more than capable of working as a logger, WSJT machine, and internet surfer.  So I can monitor chat pages and run MSK144 etc up at my remote (from the house) ham shack. I just got the repaired machine back and it was a replacement so I have to load all the hamster stuff and set it all up. That is another reason for me to be QRV. 222 is much more fun than loading software!

This time, I have special instructions to look for  VE2XX in FN25.   Stu promised to be on, so take some time and aim your antennas in some of the more unusual directions and see what happens.   For my part, I will try some digi stuff later in the evening over long haul and almost impossible paths.  The rationale is that running a sked over an (almost) impossible distance is better than not turning on the rig and watching TV or Youtube videos.

So I hope we can continue with activity on 222 Tuesdays.  As the weather warms up, we start getting more water vapor in the weather cells and that can translate to  better tropo conditions on the VHF bands.  Regular activity will pick up these enhancements. We can use some water vapor.  I hope to see you on 222!
