Yes it did and it drove me nuts. Most of time the call would be highlighted
as in:

N6EE DE W1XX W1XX

Since W1XX followed "DE" it would be highlighted and I'd simply press the
Insert key. Couldn't ask for a neater operation.

BUT - frequently the callsign would not be highlighted (even after a "DE")
and I'd scramble to type the callsign. I don't MIND typing the callsign -
it's not that I'm lazy. It's the inconsistency that leads to very confusing
and awkward operating. Interestingly, the contest programs have spoiled us
all so much that the station who called me often did not stick around longer
than a second or two before assuming I could not copy them. My apologies to
those who couldn't understand my long response times and my thanks to all
who waited patiently.

I also noticed the mysterious change in callsigns in the Entry Window.
Actually I thought it was pretty neat that I sent an exchange to a station I
didn't even realize had come back to me. I thought I was responding to the
first callsign I read (and didn't notice there was ANOTHER caller buried
under the first and his callsign was the last thing on the screen). Now I
understand WHY it happened - Thanks to those who explained this WriteLog
ideosyncrasy.

All in all, I was VERY pleased with WriteLog in the WPX. Like any really
complex system, it's taking time to learn all the intracacies. I was
especially pleased with the weak signal and off-frequency/ALC copying
ability of WriteLog through my Soundblaster card - Awesome! And unless I'm
just hallucinating, it seemed to me that the Spectrum Tuning Display was
vastly improved in this latest version of WriteLog - very snappy and very
easy to tune even weak/fluttery signals (weren't they ALL?).

73,
Ron N6EE
