I cant figure out for the life of me what I did to "cure" it. But
sunday morning when I turned on the computer and started back at it I
noted my local telnet node had poor connectivity to the rest of the
packet network, so I fired up dxtelnet to drive writelog. I noted the
Fkeys were working fine and continued to do so all day sunday.. I
cant believe it was switching to dxtelnet, perhaps it was the reboot.
I even *tried* to get them to fail at one point just so I was sure I
wasnt dreaming..
and W1CSM pointed out the mute/non-mute confusion KV1W uncovered. I
think I was seeing something similar, in that at times I would start
to talk and the mic was acting muted.. Wasnt at all clear to me why..
I did play with the sound controls at one point to see if they helped
but I didnt stumble on to ric's solution. In my case I'm using vox
keying, since i'm running under nt4.0... This sound board muting
issue sounds (no pun intended) like a more plausable explanation.
