After fighting my way through the CW SS with Writelog ( with all due
emphasis on the problem being my lack of knowledge ), I was struck with
a question for you guys in the upper 99.9%.

The use of .wav files to generate calls and reports works extremely
well.

Would it not be a logical extension that incoming audio could also be
compared to the .wav files? And therefore, automatically placed in the
proper logging spots? For instance, if K 4 S B are seperate wave files,
and the incomming audio was K4SB, could it not be decoded as such? I
realize that speed would be a determining factor, but if a Ramdrive of
sufficient size were created containing all the .wav files, it would
seem that would not be a problem.

After that, I want to turn the radio on, start WriteLog, connect to the
packet cluster, use the primary radio to call CQ ( with band changes
automatically generated by rate or packet spots ), use the second radio
to work multis, and come back 48 hours later to see how I've done.

Of course, a new category of "No operator" would have to be established.
