Unfortunately most of us are in an untenable position.
The ideal contesting computer (non-networked) is a DOS based ISA buss
machine, running a simple DOS based program.
This is at odds with general shack (and family) requirements, a Windows
based PCI buss computer that uses a gadget loaded "casual" logging program
and supports all the non-ham goodies that we like to play with.
So, unless you are willing to drag out an old machine and hook it up to the
rig, keying, TNC, etc. for a contest weekend, we are stuck trying to make a
Windows box do double duty.
