I have a similar USB to SERIAL adapter as well. How do you overcome the
fact of WL only being able to assign COM1-COM4 in the port assignments. I
have tried to reassign IRQ's without much success and allot of frustration
over all the problems it causes. Is there a way to have WL recognize
anything higher than COM4?

I bought a comtrol Rocketport usb adapter. It plugs into a USB port and
provides you with 4 more serial or com ports. Works great too.
