Gil et al,

Running DXTelnet over a network can be complicated business
to set up for the first time unless Fab has made it easier. I looked
over his recent Dxt2wl.txt and Udpsend.txt files and the instructions
seem clear.

DXTelnet works great over my network. I worked with Fab when he
first released Dxt2wl and he kept sending me several Udpsend.exe files
until he got it right. I have wanted to do pages on my website on
setting it up over the network, but I'm afraid my memory fails me on
exactly how I did it. Not wanting to tear it down and go from scratch
(if it ain't broke, don't fix it), I'd like to hear from those that are running
it over the network using Udpsend.exe and if they were able to set up
using the instructions in Udpsend.txt.

I remember when I was working with Fab that I had to do some strange
things like edit my registry to get it to work. Editing the registry can be
quite scary, but it was no big deal. So I'm wondering if Fab has done
something to eliminate the need to do that.

I'll try to throw something together on the website this afternoon, but I
have to go cut my grass then watch the NASCAR race, so it may not be
finished until this evening. It probably won't be a step-by-step procedure,
mainly screen shots of what mine look like - like the Udpsend screens on
each PC, configuration screen on DXTelnet, etc. Problem is I suffer from
CRS and it seemed a long time ago since I fooled with all this. But I'm
happy to say that once it's set up, you never have to fool with it again even
if you upgrade to a new version of WriteLog or DXTelnet.

I'll post the reflector when the pages are there.

73, Don AA5AU
