And do NOT turn LPT back on in WINXP as it WILL fail. It should NOT get an
error though, it is supposed to test. The problem is it only test the first
time you try to enable it it seems. Once the ini file is set to use the
port it blindly tires it and there is apparently no error trap code. I
think he should add code to trap this as it is gong o happen a lot. People
that are using LPT are going to migrate like it or not and are going to
have a problem.
AGAIN, you CANNOT use LPT with WINXP/WINNT/WIN2000 unless you get a port
driver which is not provided by WriteLog.

Last weekend I did a migration install of WinXP on my formerly WinME
system. <br>
Most things have worked well, and the improved stability was
immediately<br>
obvious (but then WinME would make anything look solid)... But now
my problem<br>
- WriteLog fails immediately after the contest window appears on the
screen. <br>
Error signature is:<br><br>

Is anyone running WriteLog 10.28D on WindowsXP Home, and if so, did you
have<br>
any trouble getting it to run? Since I can't get it up to change
any<br>
configuration info, I can't tell if this is the CW module
("wlogCW32.dll" ??)<br>
which was pointed at the LPT or something completely different.
I've<br>
completely uninstalled and reinstalled with the exact same error.
Suggestions<br>
welcome (no, I'm not going back to WinME - hi!)<br><br>
