Bill,
Some people use the Master database file along with the Super Check Partial
Window as a crutch during the contest to help indicate if they
copied a call correctly. I know I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I see the call
that I put in the QSO Entry window also show up in the Super
Check Partial Window.
You can put the Master database file anywhere you like but you need to setup
the Super Check Partial Window with the files location. Keep
in mind, that there are different Master database files tailored to different
contests and also in respect as to whether you are operating
in the US or not.
To setup the Super Check Partial Window in Writelog, click on the Setup menu
and then select Super Check Partial. In the SuperChk Control
Properties window, locate and click the Browse button located below the Dta
file name text box. Using the Open window, locate the Master
database file you wish to use and then click the Open button. Once this is
complete you can click on the Apply button on the SuperChk
Control Properties window.
In Writelog, ensure that the Super Chk Partial Window is open by clicking on
the Window menu and then select Super Chk Partial.
Have fun and Happy Holidays,
