This may be easy to fix.
You may need to change the keyer hang time delay for CW.
If the Mk V is anything like a regular MP this easily accomplished by
changing a
setup menu entry on the rig. On the regular MP it is menu item 7-5
"keyer delay" which specifies the PTT hang time for CW.
