And I imagine soon they will be coming out with NO serial ports.  Other than
hamming, of what use are they in the year 2002?

Hopefully the electronics gurus in our ranks are acting now to "amateurize"
the new, faster, I/O methodolgies like USB, Firewire, etc. so we can take
advantage of their benefits.

It could put Writelog even further ahead of the game.
