[WriteLog] Audio file output?

Hello all

After playing around with WL's audio recording I managed to get it all setup so 
that I got my QSO's recorded.

I have got the compression on MPEG layer 3 but the files are outputted as a WAV 
file. Is this right, shouldn't they be a .MP3 file or is it just the 
compression is the same as a MP3?

Any help will be great.
