[WriteLog] Hooking up ft-920 and ft-847??

Hi all!

Gonna set up my ft920 and my ft 847 for writelog.

Now, for the ft-920:

Should I use 6 pin data connection on my rig
or
the af out and phonepatch?
ptt?

same with the ft-847
data in/out plug
or else?

I want to be able to use all functions of writelog, voice, code and
rtty/psk31.
Would be greatly appreciated for help
