Phil
If you BOOT the W"K does it have pass word protection? You will have to set
up a new user on W2K Machine with network pass word. Then when the w98
machine tries to connect to w2k machine it will be asked for the w2k pass
word which you must of course enter on the w98 machine (s). We had this
problem a year \ago when networking 2xW98 and and XP Pro Laptop. Also make
very sure that you have a "Master WLOG Machine" to which the others copy the
appropriate contest log and then EACH saves it as the current operating log.
The master WLOG Files should be on Network share.

I am not a computer guru but that is what we had last year in IARU
preparations hope it helps. Archive reflector messages about June/July 2003
might throw up something.

regards

John G3LZQ
