The most stable operating system is Win 2000 or XP. Win 98 SE with all of
the updates from Microsoft is OK, but not as quite as stable as 2000/XP.
I worked several major contests over a weekend running 98 with no problems,
but I would occasionally get lockups with 98 if I leave my computer on for a
long time and open/close lots of programs. If you do lockup, WL is great
about recovery. You don't lose a thing.
Bottom Line: Stick with 2000/XP and use Userport if you want to key CW
through the LPT port.
