Except for #7 ... I think its reasonable to expect
at some point features require a minimum configuration
(h/w and/or s/w) that has certain necessary requirements:
minimum CPU, memory, OS ... even .net framework, etc.
I would even consider paying more for a version
that supported advanced features, like networking
(a la some of the things that have been discussed
in this thread).
