IMHO, using a "Hot Key" (pun intended) approach to all of this will always insure that user-options can be *instantly* changed or selected *during* a contest if desired with rapidity. For example, when dealing with heavy static crash condx on the low bands & weak signals if bad condx, one might wish to change to a different .wav file use option for those bands. Using X-Keys, even a [CTRL + Shift + somekey] type "Hot Key" combination can be reduced to ONE BUTTON to push right at the keyboard, with no need to screw around with a Mouse and File/Menu drop downs, etc. (a personal irritation). 73...
