A corrupt boot sector doesn't really sound like an SP2 problem, Barry. Might
be hardware...

Regardless of what you may have heard, SP2 is pretty solid. No problems at
all at work and we have installed on hundreds of machines... mind you, they
are more homogenous than home computers.
