If you can match the audio level properly and select the MIC IN as the audio
source, it should work fine with whatever decoder you are using.

Subject: [WriteLog] USB Sound
Hi guys,
did anybody have any success with an external USB Soundcard? My notebook
only
has a Mic-In and no line-in, so it is basically useless for decoding RTTY
and
other stuff.
I have searched the archives but only found (negative) experiences with the
Soundblaster Extigy, but that was more than 2 years ago. Now USB 2.0 is
around
and there are quite a few different USB sound devices, also used by
professional musicians. I am sure the newer devices are better, but can they
be used with Writelog.
I want to use the sound card for RTTY with the MMTTY plugin and Voice-Keying
with WL as well as for Software-decoding of Digital Radio Mondiale.
Let me know your results, positive or negative, please.
Thank you very much for your help.
Regards,
Carsten
