Thank you Robert!

That was half way there!
I did not have the internal keyer in use allthough I did use the front jack for CW, should have used the back jack for CW and have the button bk-in engaged.

Thank you

I think what you are trying to do is use the internal keyer in the FT920 for
paddle sending and also the computer for memory / computer sending.

That will NOT work. The Yaesu keyer circuit is in series with the external
key jack. When the keyer is on the computer keying and the internal keyer
keying both don't work. What I do with my FT1000MPs is this. I have a
Y-connector plugged into the key input jack on the back of the MP. One
input is from the computer and the other input is from an external keyer.
The internal keyer is OFF. That way the computer sends memory keying and
when I need to use the paddle - also fine.

Hope I helped.

Hello!

I am not sure if anyone has had this problem before, searched for it but
no.

I just got a interface hooked up on com port 1 and into my key jack at my ft-920. I got ports settings set as following:

com1 X under CW ft-920 baud rate auto, checked poll, comm
PTT YES
com2 ft-920 baud rate auto, checked
poll, comm PTT YES

checked all mode PTTon CW ports

CW keyer type is "PC generates"

What happens?

Well, when I am not having vox in use my keyer works great and I can hear
flawless morse but the ft-920 uis built that one needs vox pushed in to
transmit code so when I press vox all I get is a tone that never ends, not
even if I unpress vox, i actually have to pull the cable out of the jack.

please anyone help me.
