I am an SO2R newbie, but for others who might be interested, there is a
modification which will allow you to use a footswitch to put the DXD into
"Auto" mode (when you want to copy the station who called you on the
transmitting radio...audio in BOTH ears). A tech friend just did this for me.

1. Install an RCA phono jack in the back panel of the DXD...I put it in the
blank area centered above the LPT1 & Band Decoder ports.

2. Run a wire from S2 ("Auto") to the jack.

It works like a dream, and eliminates having to take your hands off the
keyboard to flip the Auto switch.

Unfortunately, it does not appear WriteLog has a "Dualing CQ" mode like
TR. I am experimenting with outboard Macros ("X-Keys") to do "chained
functions" with the push of ONE button. I can also swap radios, etc. with
the DXD with similar buttons instead of having to fiddle around looking
for tiny keys on my mini-keyboard. Umh, I am still too QLF on the keyboard
in general ;-(

Also, most unfortunately, WriteLog does not operate like TRlog on CW (where
you can plug your paddles into a jack off the LPT1 port, and whichever
radio the DXD is on, your paddles will work. I am now using an external
relay to switch the key paddles (as of this week) which is triggered by a
connection to the R2 Out jack on the back of the DXD whenever Radio 2 is
engaged.

Hope this helps.
