Sorry about the prior post -- not sure what happened there -- all the text in
the middle of the message got
deleted. To repeat.
==================
OK -- so finally taking a closer look at the 7QP module in 10.59D. Nothing like
the last minute. A few things I
have noticed -- anyone else noticed this and/or have a fix:

1. Per NI7T's post it does seem to take two installs of the upgrade to get the
10.59D 7QP module to show up. This
seems to be only on Win 98/ME machines. I installed 10.59D on an XP machine --
no problem. Just got done
installing it on 4 ME machines here at NK7U and had the same behavior each
time. So, be aware. Make sure to reboot
between each install and don't start WLog before the second install otherwise
you will get the dreaded
ComponentMoveData error.

2. The Parameter setup screen will re-appear after you click OK. Just click on
OK again and it will go away.

3. The module requires you to enter the full state/county exchange even if you
are in the 7th call area and the
county mult does not count. This is what the rules say is the exchange but if
you were thinking of taking a
shortcut and just enter the state - you can't.

4. However, the module does count counties as mults even if you are in the 7th
call area. This will require a
manual score adjustment after the contest. The maximum mults in the 7th area is
63. So, if you think you have over
100 you don't.

Have fun everyone -- we will be on the bands all 18 hours as a multi-op here at
NK7U.

If anyone has any ideas about these observations please post away.

Scott/K7ZO
