There are ways to make it less complex..
ICE 419s can be switched from the front panel - too bad they are
currently out of production - you can find them around used.
Dunestar 600s can be switched with the Top Ten Band Decoders, or the
W9XT Unified Microsystems band decoders ($19.95 each - what I use here),
or buy a 6 position rotary switch from Radio Shack for $2.50 and stick
it in a box - all it takes to run a Dunestar 600 is grounding the wire
that goes with the band you want.

You don't need LPT1 or the driver unless you are going to SO2R. Use the
band data output from the back of your radio (or does a TS-440 not have
it - I can't keep track).
