This might be an option of interest to some WL users.
A week before SS, I finally bought a Widescreen Monitor to hopefully enable 3
bandmaps and the packet window to all fit on one screen along with the basic WL
setup. The current desk does not have the real estate for a 2nd monitor.
Widescreen Monitors ROCK!!!
The prices on older (but new-in-box) versions have come down. I bought a
ViewSonic VA1912wb 19" with 1440 x 900 resolution. It was $239 (less another
$30 mail-in rebate) at FRY's here in Silly-CON Valley, USA.
Unfortunately, my Dell D600 notebook video/graphics card will only go to 1280 x
768, but this still enabled me to do what I hoped for. MUCH better than my
notebook screen or the separate standalone regular Dell flat panel I tried here.
My screen is a bit squashed verticaly with the 1280 x 768, but the added room
to the bottom of the monitor turned out to be very convenient for scotch taping
some miscellaneous reminders and operational notes :-)
I am a Happy Camper about this!
