You didn't imagine it, it is there, or at least can be in
the rigs section. See mine below:

[rigs]
IcomForceSplit=1
Icom IC-756PRO=0x5c
Com5:=19200,n,8,1
Com7:=19200,n,8,1

It may be one of those things that isn't there unless you need it
and put it there.
The 0x  tells it it is Hex and the 5c is the address
As usual everything is case sensitive.

I thought that the ICOM address ( if any) was somewhere in
the .ini file, and could be modified to override the
selection in the ports dialog. However I can't seem to find
it now. Did I imagine this, or is it perhaps the effect of a
surfeit of Xmas pudding?
