Thanks to K5NA the problem has been resolved by going into control panel
and then:
- Click system
- Click hardware
- Click device manager
- Click Ports
- Richt click the usb com port that needs to be changed and select
properties
- Click the port settings tab
- Click advanced
- Select the com port from the drop down menu
Worked like a champ.
