John,

As I hinted before, not a parallel port expert here, but I suspect those
with LPT expertise will chime in.  

Can anyone help John with his problem?

thanks,, it is not a port problem, Im not getting that far--
it is set to use PTT-- cw is dotted on lpt port--   this issue resolved 
via direct io program..pin 16
Im using the same cable that I ve used on previous writelog versions.
Im not seeing any internal keying via writelog--hit the f keys and 
nothing,,, go to alt k and I can type stuff in but nothing occurs.
Ive tried this with cw only contest also  zip...
