Hi John,
I think there is no real difference between Windows Vista on a desktop
computer or on a laptop.
My own experience is that WriteLog runs well under Vista when it is
installed into a directory like
C:\writelog
or
D:\writelog.
No good idea would be to install it into
C:\Program Files\WriteLog
because the directories C:\Program Files and C:\Windows are under a
special control of the Windows security mechanisms. Google for "Trusted
Installer" and you will find more informations.
WriteLog would work there also but with some oddities when you use several
user names on the computer.

Betreff: [WriteLog] Writelog Vista RTTY Operation
Hi,
I am considering a new laptop and it most likely will have Vista as the
OS.
Is there any experience out there with Vista laptops and RTTY operation
using MMTTY?
I hear of problems with drivers not being available, etc. What about
running Writelog in an XP Virtual Machine environment?
Any sound card issues to consider when purchasing a laptop?
Thanks es 73, John K0TG
