I’m setting up WL for the CQWW SSB contest coming up and have found a problem
with the playback of wav files in the Shifted SSB memory locations. I have
created keyboard shortcuts to play back these memory locations by using the
Alt+n keys where n is any keyboard number from 1 – 0. My keyboard shortcuts
are as follows:
Alt+0 = MessageShiftPh10
Alt+1 = MessageShiftPh11
Alt+2 = MessageShiftPh02
Alt+3 = MessageShiftPh03
Alt+4 = MessageShiftPh04
Alt+5 = MessageShiftPh05
Alt+6 = MessageShiftPh06
Alt+7 = MessageShiftPh07
Alt+8 = MessageShiftPh08
Alt+9 = MessageShiftPh09
These keyboard shortcuts have worked for me in WL for years, but now in V11.14B
something is broken. The normal SSB memory keys, F2 – F11 work fine as before,
but the Shifted SSB memory locations don’t work at all, except for one keyboard
shortcut, Alt+1, which should play <msg20.wav>, but actually plays <msg12.wav>.
Also, clicking on the field name buttons in the Entry window used to play
messages stored in the Shifted SSB memory locations, but now will not play any
messages at all.
This is the first SSB contest I’ve tried running V11.14B. My last SSB contest
was the WAE SSB, I think with V11.13J, and the wav memory playing was correct
there. I just tried running the WAE SSB log again using the memory key macros
I used in that contest and they don’t work correctly now either. I know this
last release attempted to fix some memory key playback bugs in the WAE module,
but now I’m wondering if something else got broken in the process. Anyone else
running V11.14B and using voice messages in the Shifted SSB memory locations?
If so, how are you sending them? You can’t just hit Shift+Fn key as that will
invoke the Record On The Fly feature which will overwrite an existing wav file
in that location.
If I don’t get an answer soon I will try to back out of V11.14B and go back to
V11.13J and see if that works correctly again.
