Some time ago, K1SQJ posted an article on netnews stating that Hamtronics
would consider building an IF interface between the FT1000 and the Kenwood
SM220 or SM230 station monitor. I don't know if this ever came to fruition.
Yesterday, I sent a message to Hamtronics asking if they would consider
doing the same for the FT1000MP. The response was: "let me know exactly
what you need, and we'll quote a price."
Now, there is no IF output on the rear panel of the 1000MP, so this is an
additional complication.
Is anyone interested in pursuing this? Has anyone done this another way?
My desire is to have a bandscope function to spot DX splits, etc.
Thoughts and ideas are most welcome.
