I own an FT-727R. Had it since the dual-band concept was brand new --
must be around 10 or 15 years. Ser # 7D130132. Really love the radio. It
has good audio, both transmit as well as receive.

However, there are two problems I'm having, and I need a little help
with
them.
First, the rig transmits about 1.8 KHz low. since I just moved, I can't
find my service manual. Has anybody got one handy? I need some info on
adjusting the frequency.
Second, the "chassis" (frame?) is broken right by the BNC antenna
connector. This allows the nut on the BNC to loosen and the BNC can then
spin freely, breaking the coax connection. This problem is major. Is
there some sort of fix for this? Is a replacement chassis available? Or
can it be stuck back together somehow?

        Thanks,
        Earl
