No ... Yaesu used some extra switching diodes to select the 2.4 KHz
3rd IF (ceramic) filter if the optional crystal filters had not been
installed. There are (were) four optional 3rd IF (455 KHz) crystal
filters for the FT-1000 (non-D) main receiver:
2.4 KHz ... replaces the ceramic filter,
2.0 KHz (YF110SN)
500 Hz (YF110C)
250 Hz (YF110CN)

Yes ... the sub receiver will go "dead" if one selects 500 or 250 Hz
(both select the narrow filter)
