[Yaesu] FT-1000D birdie

Hi All,

 I have a FT-1000D that has birdies across the 160 meter band with the tuner 
on. If you disconnect the ant and tune across the band it comes in about every 
17KC. With the tuner off the birdie shifts slightly in frequency and is 
attenuated.

 Has anyone noticed this or is something wrong here?
