Hi John....to be a decent contest rig it needs both cw and ssb INRAD extra
filter mods...by the time you spend the $ on it you could have gotten an
FT-1000MP and been way ahead of the game..I had one and it lasted about 6
months before I sent it away...just not my cup of tea...de Rick nq4i
