That's correct, because it is not a lunmped two compoennt
network that is open circuited. It is more like a
transmission line.
Your post above says the opposite. Did you mis-speak on one
or the

No I didn't. My giouess would be you are confusing measuring
something that is two lumped componenst with a distributed
system.
I'm not aware of any rule that says a GDO can't measure a
series-resonant system. Are you? Are you actually trying to
say a GDO can't measure a series resonant system?
