Thanks for the Sprint Qs, Steve. Sorry I missed you in the Marathon.
I think the intent was to avoid the bigger conflict with WPX RTTY. That
contest has far more participants than the Marathon. Although CW Sprint
could interfere with a serious Marathon effort, I noticed little Sprint
activity below 025, leaving some decent space for the Marathon. And except
for 40M, I had very little interference from the XE RTTY event up higher in
the bands. Although my own operating time for the Marathon was limited, I
think I could have put in a decent Marathon effort plus a full four hour
Sprint with minimal interference. For me, the Marathon is most enjoyable in
brief spurts. If one puts in too many hours, the rate gets really slow.
Frankly, I thought the three contests coexisted pretty well.
