[RFI] Neon Light Interference

Stephanie,

Try the neon sign company.  You should see a small tag on the sign (you may
need binoculars to read it...). They are the ones with the technical
know-how (if anyone has any left).  They should be able to help.

Some suggestions:

Make sure LV and HV connections are clean and tight.

Make sure there are no arcs or corona leakage (Ultrasonic 'sniffers' are
often used for this purpose.).

Make sure the sign is well grounded at radio frequencies.

Ask them to check the HV transformer for secondary-to-primary leakage (a
Faraday-shielded transformer is more expensive, but may help).  Ask them to
make sure the secondary if bypassed for RF.

It's not a car or a truck, but the principles are the same.
