Ed,

I appreciate the offer of the letter from the ARRL. That may be helpful, but
I think rather than frustrating the pizza owner with how to fix it, It would
be nice to find someone that can fix the problem for them. IF the pizza
owner calls Joe Blow sign company and they have no idea what to do or tell
him that I need to put a "filter" my "radio" (Which did happen already), the
letter does no good and serves to alienate me from a workable solution. I
have myself called a number of neon sign shops in the area and their
response was "Have no idea what your taking about", "Never had that
problem".

As far as Riley deferring to the judgement and decisions of the local
office, this is somewhat frustrating to hear. Mr. Rahtes sent Mr. Dombrowski
to investigate this problem. Mr Dombrowski claims he heard minimal noise in
my driveway from the pizza shop. Mr Dombrowski might have been using an
inefficient antenna on his equipment as I can demonstrate using my antennas
to anyone that cares to see, how severe the noise is from the neon
installation on this pizza establishment over 1/4 mile away. Personally I
have sat in my driveway and experienced the some level of interference from
the neon display but, my shack is in my house and I use fully grown antennas
on my tower when Im operating.

Incidentally, I resolved a severe power line noise problem by video taping
my DFexpedition with all the telephone poles involved and sent a copy to the
local power company interference bureau. That worked quite well. I got
results.

Noise blankers are at times helpful but not always. My MFJ-1026 does help
but only on the low bands 30 MHz and below. 6 meters is affected severely.

So what do you think so far about my battles, do I still have a chance to
win the wars ?
