That's good to know about the 10 mW range. I built a Ramsey Electronics FM
stereo transmitter that is spec'd at 10 mW, and I can hear it on my car
radio at one mile. The Ramsey's transmitting antenna is a 33" tall vertical
whip - nothing fancy.
