I recall looking at a typical cable amplifier once. I THINK they guy said
it ran on 70 volts, no doubt a few amps current, couple that with up to a
couple hundred cable channels across a few hundred MHz and you can see how
one damaged unit could wipe out many tens of square miles with RFI.
