"Ouch!" is right!
For one thing, the first thing that hit me was that "60 feet"which is awfully
close to a 1/4
wave on 80 meters. Potential problems there? I don't know. I only suspect.
Is it possible for you to (yes) run say a #00 stranded copper wire from the
panel ground to
your station ground, adding other ground rods at places in between the ends to
break up the
distances?
Also, it seems to me that one ground rod at the panel is not really enough. I
used three
here, but then again, ground conductivity in my area is VERY poor.
Jim would know far more about this than I do, but if I were in your position, I
think I would try
what I suggested above.
