A year or two ago, the Navy announced it was going back to HF for
inter-battlegroup
communications instead of using satellite. This was based on
economy. CW was not
mentioned, just "data transmissions." This could also mean digitized voice.
So it's a partial victory for "traditionalists." (and common-sense folks)
