YB0ARA was on with a fairly good signal (louder than the VK's), but we were
plagued again with QRN well over S9.

Propagation has been odd the last month. VK and ZL propagation is better
just after or before their sunset many days, with no sunrise peak here.

Also, during the summer VK's were all in from the west or south west. Now
they are plainly from the west to north west, and the KH2 and YB0 are often
quite good. ZL's are all but gone. Is that normal from the south, that the
path to ZL gets crappy at the equinox or is it just all the disturbances
lately?

The four square vertical array still dominates before or long after
sunrise, often with 10 dB advantage over the horiz phased array. At and
just after sunrise mostly on good signal level days the horizontal (two
phased dipoles 250 feet above ground) takes over, sometimes by as much as
5 or 10 dB. A low dipole remains a total bust for me, often totally
inaudible.

Today was a "vertical day" all morning long, as are most days of so so
propagation from mid-Georgia. KH6AT and VK3ZL were heard at 1210 Z, about
an hour after sunrise but weakly.
