Hi Dave,
If you have room for a 45 foot vertical and tee top wires, the approximate
length for each side of the tee is 60 feet, assuming two top loading wires.
My guess is you could shorten the top hat by using more than two wires if
you like, but you would have to experiment to get the right lengths for the
desired resonant frequency. Over a good ground the feed point impedance
might be 15 - 20 ohms, so an L-net tuner at either end or an UnUn impedance
transformer at the feed point will be needed.
