Dear Topbanders,
Will, K6NDV and I plan to operate again at "Saltdale" (on Koehn dry salt
lake bed in southern California) during the Stew Perry Topband Distance
Challenge this weekend.
We will use the same 70-foot top-loaded vertical for transmitting that we
used for the ARRL 160m contest. For receiving, we plan to use a
variation of the Pennant and Flag antennas, which I call the "Diamond".
It will be rotatable, so we'll be able to cover all directions with good
S/N on receive.
We will be in the multi-op/high power category with three operators -
K6NDV, K6SE, and KR6C. Callsign used in the contest will be K6NDV.
Watch for us from that "rare" grid, DM15.
