FWIW, I use only four 125-foot radials lying on top of the salt at the
salt lake bed (where the ground conductivity is better than sea water). 
With that ground system and the quarter-wave balloon-supported vertical,
the ground resistance measures only 2 ohms at 1825 kHz.
